Pictures for Joy and Harold

I sent the originals through to Newbury today. I note that whenever I try to repeat designs that work, I lose something in the repetition.

November 4th

I went to a bonfire. I took some photos of fire and by firelight.

Queen Ebony

It's coming up to Ebony's first anniversary as club mascot. So I made her a crown, cloak and sword. I never claimed to be mature...

Rhamphorhynchus

From Origami for the Connoisseur, and a right pain to photograph. Nice little model, though.

Abstract origami

Yet another design from Origami for the Connossieur. It describes itself as a flower-cut hard-boiled egg, but I think it's nicer just to think of it as an abstract design.

Mushroom

Found this one while walking to campus today. Unexpectedly difficult to photograph - my camera auto-focus would far rather select grass. I may yet be forced to read the instructions.

A good end

Sometimes all my arrows go where they're supposed to. If you don't recognise the fletching and think that the shafts are the wrong colour, it's because they're club arrows.

Lots of pretty paper

I've recently noticed quite how much pretty origami paper I have. This makes me very happy. Thanks to everyone who has helped me gather this collection.

I agree with the book that although it may not look much like a pinecone (in this particular instance, this is enhanced by the paper I chose) it does look very pretty. A good example the problems with diagramming 3D elements of designs - I very nearly gave up on this one.

Origami swan

From Origami Step by Step, otherwise know as the Eeevil Origami book. This is the design that Ni failed at on my origami evening. Having made it, I can see why.
